At Paws & Peace, we understand that the loss of a beloved pet can be a profoundly emotional experience, especially for children. The loss of a family pet is often the first time that children will experience loss and grief.
Our compassionate memorial services are designed to provide a safe and supportive space for children to honour their furry friends, helping them navigate the complexities of grief and find comfort in cherished memories.
During this ceremony, we gently talk about the unbreakable bond of love that continues even when our pets are no longer physically with us. We emphasise that while we may not be able to see them, our pets live on in our hearts and memories, bringing warmth and solace.
We also offer the opportunity for children to share their own memories of their beloved pets, reinforcing that the love and memories will always be with them.
Through personalised ceremonies and thoughtful guidance, we aim to gently assist children in understanding the cycle of life and embracing the healing process.
We are happy to lead the service or provide talking points to parents so that they can host. You are welcome to use our farewell room also to host the memorial service.
This service is offered free of charge but must be booked in advance.
